A Short Reflection on Sabbath
I wanted to offer a brief reflection on the biblical idea of Sabbath. Several of you sent in questions before we began the Torah Portions study, so here is a Q&R to get us started. The Law as a Shadow
Hebrews 10:1 says that the law is a shadow. Traditionally, this has been taken to mean the law is empty and goes away in our walk with Christ. In this post I explore the concept of shadows and how this passage is actually affirming the lasting value of all Scripture in our faith.

What is the Old Covenant?
What exactly is the Old Covenant? Many Christians believe it refers to the laws given at Sinai. But what if this perspective isn't truly biblical? What Does it Mean to "Keep The Law"?
What Does It Really Mean to "Keep the Law"? We hear the phrase often, but have we stopped to ask what it truly means, and what assumptions it carries? Could our understanding of obedience be shaping our view of God's nature and our role in His story more than we realize?

The Galatians You’ve Never Heard - Part 2
Many read Galatians as proof that the law is now obsolete. Faith made the obedience to the law irrelevant. But is that what Paul really meant? In this post, Itake a closer look at Paul’s statements on justification and how they echo, not contradict, the covenant language of Deuteronomy.

The Galatians You’ve Never Heard - Part 1
Many people read Galatians as a rejection of Old Testament law. But what if that persepctive is simply a result of reading our Bible "backwards"? What if Paul wasn’t rejecting the law, but correcting how it was being used?
